January 2023 Updates

Happy 2023!  No resolutions for me. Just keep doing what I'm doing and enjoy life.  Who knows what this new year will bring.  Hopefully something good for all of us.  Stay positive and be kind to each other.

Quick updates as of 1-24-23:

Cava Waldorf supposed to open by the end of January but subject to change.

Crumbl Cookies still shows no sign of construction in Waldorf

Los Compadres #2 Latin Market is now open at 4425 Crain Highway, White Plains.

O'Reilly Auto Parts now open at 3385 Crain Highway, Waldorf.

Planet Fitness La Plata showing opening date Friday February 17th 2023. 6655 Crain Highway next to Outback. Dates always subject to change.

Southern Maryland Axe has a tentative opening date of January 19th. They will be located at 70 Industrial Park Dr #1C in Waldorf.

Aldi in La Plata is showing an opening date of February 15th.  Its located across from Rosewick Crossing on Rosewick road.

Panda Express in La Plata says that they are trying to get open by the end of January. Hopefully everything works out.

There are a couple of bakeries coming to downtown Leonardtown. Flour donuts and bakery will be in the old bell motors building. Kneaded baking co will be with Salted Scoop.

A new Dairy Queen was approved for Leonardtown.  It will take the place of an existing Burchmart self serve car wash at 22875 Washington St.  It will be a while before we know when they plan to open.

CAVA opens in Waldorf Thursday the 26th at the former Wendy's location 3005 Crain Highway.

Old Navy will be returning to Waldorf at The shops at Waldorf Center!  Five Below will be moving out of their current location over to the former Charming Charlie's and Carousel space by Christmas Tree Shops.  They will have a larger store with more things to offer.  Old Navy will then take over the Five Below space and some adjoining space next door.  Lots of moving parts here so it will take some time.  Its great to have them back in the area.

November 2022 Updates

Hope everyone has been keeping busy and had a great Halloween! It was a bit soggy but we still had a pretty good time. Lots of projects still progressing nicely and some I haven't seen move at all.  I love November because of family and food time.  I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and thank you veterans!  When do you start decorating for the holidays?

Tropical Smoothie Café will have their grand opening at the Fox Run Shopping Center in Prince Frederick November 5th.  

CAVA plans to open their Waldorf location by mid January 2023.  EDIT:  Its located in the former Wendy's location.

Selby's Food Service and Sweet Almond Macarons coming to the Piney Church Retail Center next to Ledo's Pizza and the 7-11.

Jersey Mike's Subs Grand Opening November 16th at Waldorf Park. Smallwood Drive and Crain Highway North next to Starbucks.

Los Compadres 2 at 4425 Crain Highway between White Plains Liquors and About the ink tattoo.

Plan shows Banfield Pet Hospital as a new tenant coming to the Charles County Plaza Shopping Center between Giant and Mattress Firm.

Burnbox Pizza is showing an opening date of December 15th. The are located next to Verizon at 2925 Crain Highway in Waldorf. EDIT now estimating mid January 2023

Scandinavian Designs has opened in the former toys r us location on mall circle in Waldorf.

7 Eleven has opened in North Waldorf at the corner on Crain Highway and Pierce Road in front of Sam's Club.

Sheetz is coming to the Charlotte Hall area by the VA outpatient clinic located along Three Notch Road. The rest of that property will have pad sites available for purchase.
