Ah February. The shortest month of the year. Most famous for Valentine's Day. A day to celebrate love and affection to those closest to you with really expensive flowers and trinkets. It is also a time when many people start to feel the anticipation of spring, as the days gradually become longer and signs of new life begin to emerge. Overall, February offers a mix of winter coziness and the promise of brighter days ahead. I hope everyone has brighter days ahead filled with happiness and prosperity.

Panera Bread has opened their new freestanding location in Waldorf next to Silver Diner. 3070 Technology Place. The other location in the shopping center closed. No new tenant yet. I hear it does not have a fireplace in the new one and people are already upset. This one does have a drive thru.
Grille No. 13 is now open as a carry out restaurant at 351 Smallwood Drive in Waldorf.
Milk & Honey Cafe is coming to the Charles County Plaza next to Planet Fitness. From their website: "Milk & Honey is a New Orleans themed Southern Brunch that features Award Winning Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles, RumChata French Toast and specializes in other slow cooked mouth-watering favorites." No word on an opening date as the lease was just finalized.
The former AT&T store at Rosewick road in La Plata will be divided into two spaces. Webster Insurance and Choice Floors and Stairs will be the two new tenants.
Lucianna's Steakhouse is back with a new owner. They are still at 3331 Plaza way in Waldorf.
Calvert Yard Cards Grand Opening at 1921 Skinners Turn Road, Owings, MD
So while doing some research on sales I found that the former capital one in Waldorf Marketplace next to Red Robin has been purchased to do a Zaxby's! I don't have any other information yet. I would assume they got approvals or they wouldn't have bought it. We will see how this progresses.

When is old navy going to open
Previous post stated Old Navy is waiting on permits. With that said, Chris cannot give you an exact or estimated date. Hope this helps.
They have started construction in old navy but we may be three months from opening depending on the length of time construction takes.
Hello Chris, I heard something yesterday about the Royal Farms in Charlotte Hall that they are having a hard time getting the land to perk, and that they may have to reconfigure how to locate the lot. Any news on that?
Then just a couple weeks ago a sign went up on the property owned by the Burch's right behind the Subway and almost down to the funeral home that said 1 to 7 acres and the land/ground was for lease, does that mean someone can come in and build their building but will have to pay rent for the land its own.
All vendors at the Farmers need to vacate by March 31st. They apparently got letters at the first of the month.
I haven't spoke to them lately about the Royal farms so I don't know if that's the case right now. Last I heard was the traffic flow issues.
Yes with a ground lease you build what you want and just lease the ground which is usually cheaper. Places like drug stores and fast food places will do that and sign 20 year leases. If they don't renew the owner gets a building to lease.
Hey Chris, do you know what is going on off Western Pkwy right across from Hamilton Road? I see trees being cleared!
Shasho doesn't sell every inch of commercial land for sale area wide you know?
When it does, people asking 1000 times a month won't speed it up.
Hey Chris .. I live in accokeek and wanted to know has there been any talk or discussions around stores or businesses open up in the area? We have the manokeek shopping center with a few pad sites and stores open to lease which has been for a while
Now
I think its apartments on western parkway.
I have not heard of anything new in Accokeek. Still showing the same space available.
I heard you're getting everything, Accokeek being a high demand locale and all, since you live there.
Hey Chris, I heard that Bayside Kia is opening a brand new dealership on 301 northbound, near the Carrabbas. Any news on that?
I have not heard about a kia going in. No records connecting them to a sale that i see yet.
Somewhat good news on the topic of grocery stores. I agree. the merger should be blocked for the sake of consumers.

I might have missed it but what going in next to the park and ride in LaPlata on Old Washington?
And you don’t have an answer to every question, so stop being an ***
Say it to my face, it's true. Everyone always bugging the heck out of him about every single thing... Like he's the broker for every inch of property area wide.
Oh wow! Now Chris is a lumberjack and has an answer for every tree that gets cleared!
It's Chris, he is the Great Gazoo of land sales.
There are apartments going in by the park and ride. Magnolia Gardens. Its supposed to be more affordable.
Sheetz in Charlotte Hall got approval tonight.
It was inevitable. Just wonder how long before we see any progress. Royal Farms was approved too, but…
Thanks for the info. I was surprised they announced it before getting approvals.
