Happy Summer!  Already got my first batch of crabs this year.  Hopefully temperatures will stay decent for outdoor activities.  Congratulations to the class of 2022.  The last few years for them has been quite a ride. Lots of jobs out there for the taking.  Whatever your dream is go for it!

Do you have an anticipated opening for Club Pilates?

What's going on to happen to the closed Mckays in California and the old location of Golden Corral, which has been torn down

What’s going on along 301 just to the south of the Hampton Inn and Carrabbas?

I have heard that a 7-11 is going in the old Golden Corral location. I am curious what is going in the old Thai Inter spot (heard a Cluck-U or Big Chicken)

I was wondering the same thing. Chris you have any information on what's being built next to Hampton Inn and Carrabba's, the space has been cleared for building something...

I see there's a construction fence around the former Boston Market in the Charles County Plaza in Waldorf. Any idea what's planned?

Hello Chris, great information as always. I was curious about one thing, with quite a few vacant buildings in the Waldorf area, is there any particular reason for new construction as opposed to filling in the vacant buildings? Keep up the good work!

Every center is owned by a different group. They all market their properties different ways. Some tenants want to be right on the highway with high visibility. They don't want to be in the back of a shopping center. If someone can deliver them a space that fits the need they will build it. Its going to cost extra though.

He literally covered this in the article... why does nobody read these days?

Covered in the article... yet another person that just can't read.

Because he added that to the original post after I asked the question the first time. The original post at the beginning of the month didn’t have a lot of the information it has now.

What is going in on 227 Marshal Corner Road across from Coastal Blvd. next to the Army Training Facility?

How about this stop building shit that brings traffic and leave our trees to clean the air if I wanted to live in a city I would go to va or DC, there is enough houses and buildings already just look at the parkway putting up those shitty built houses everywhere clearing out hundreds if not thousands of acres of trees its ridiculous. STOP THE BUILDING

I hate to see posts on here saying stop building residential and commercial developments but everyone forgets that you too are part of the problem because I am sure you live in a house that was once a farm or forest area. People can not afford to live in the big cities like VA or DC, which is why YOU live here too. Growth is going to happen as long as couples keep having kids that grow up and have families and they too want to stay close to their families but what you are forgetting is now that the population has increased, our stores, malls, doctor's office get more crowded which is why more commercial businesses are happening. I know I do not want to stand in a long line at Safeway. I would suggest that we focus on what is new each month and stop whining to Chris, who is a Commercial Real Estate Broker not your sounding board. Find another Blog or go to your local bar in drown your whining with a nice beer.

Stores are constantly closing in the area, shopping centers are half full at best and the mall is an absolute joke compared to what it used to be. There are plenty of Drs in the area and plenty of urgent cares. Plenty of the homes being built don't have anyone living in them, but hey let's build some more...
