September 2021 Updates

Happy Fall! I hope everyone had a great summer and is healthy and happy.  Everyone is getting back to school and learning new routines.  I hope this is a good school year since the last two were a mess.  It continues to be a good year for us.  Lots of things working in the area.  Hopefully they all make it to the finish line. Let's all continue to make our area a great place to live.  #choosekindness

J&A Latino Market has opened at the Merchants Square Shopping Center at 4459 Crain Highway in White Plains.

Two new tenants have been signed for Waldorf Park near the corner of 301 and Smallwood Drive.  Naz's Halal and Aspen Dental.  Naz's has Multiple locations in different states.  These tenants join Chic fil A, Jersey Mikes and Starbucks.
It has been reported that IHOP is taking over the former Ruby Tuesday's in California, MD.  Renovations have already begun.

Hi Chris! I was curious as to what is being built behind the Dorchester community in front of the Westchester apartment complex in Waldorf?

To the person who asked what's being built in front of Westchester apts, it is a small townhome complex, only about a 15 or so townhomes.

Does Waffle House or Cheesecake Factory have plans to build in this area (Waldorf/LaPlata)?

Any ideas what’s taking over the old Bobs Pit in Waldorf?

The person asking about Waffle House and Cheesecake Factory…there isn’t even a Waffle House in PG County when they have a population of close to 1 million, our population is less than half of that so I doubt we’d ever get that. The closest one is in Dumfries or Fredericksburg. For Cheesecake Factory, they will never come here because we dont have the population, the daytime traffic for lunch, nor the location. Retailers and restaurants have a certain criteria they must meet before spending thousand and millions of dollars to open a location. Charles County is just not have that criteria. You’d have to take the drive to Annapolis or VA.
