Lots of rumors going around for the Charlotte Hall area. It seems that most of them are just that. As of right now nothing is going on the old motel site and nothing is happening to the farmers market site.
On to other things..
Active Physical Therapy is now open at La Plata Village Center. 52 Drury Drive.
I just heard that the Clarity coffee house owners in Indian Head are going to be starting their own grocery store and Ice cream shop in the town. Oasis Fresh Food Market and Papaleo's Ice cream will be located in the old Algonquin building at 4145 Indian Head Highway. Look for it in 2022. Very exciting to see more come to that area.

I heard that the “Shoppers” in Waldorf is closing through my community’s Facebook group. Is this going to be a permanent closure, or are they closing to fully rebrand the store and reopen like they did in California?
If it’s a permanent closure, what are the likelihood of it being linked to a new grocery store at the Waldorf Station that is about to break ground, opening a market area duopoly such as Weis or Harris Teeter, or stretching the furthest Publix, based on the store size.
Another question about Charlotte Hall. What is going to be built on Potomac Way between Southern Tire and the battery store?

Ha! Knew it was Ross coming a month or two ago. Was looking through the front window while it was under construction, and they had left a set of plans sitting out with the Ross name... Glad for more shopping, though kind of sad that all our shopping in Calvert is becoming discount stores like this.
Any truth about Chiptole and or Chic Fil A coming to Charlotte Hall? Also, St.Mary’s Landing to be remodeled to become steak house of some type? So much happening in Charlotte Hall but no confirmation.
I had heard some stirrings about shoppers closing. Not sure if its happened.
I haven't seen anything on the Potomac way site yet.
We are handling the property in charlotte hall where the hotel is and the surrounding area. No chick fil a or chipotle on that site.
Shoppers is closing for sure. Not sure of the plans for the bldg. Thanks for response. Just appears to be a lot of future activity in Charlotte Hall. I personally would love both food establishments to be located in the vicinity as long as they consider traffic.
What is being built next the CVS at Altamont Place (the corner of 301/Billingsley)?
Is the local paper wrong when they say Chipotle is coming to where hotel is in Charlotte Hall?
As of right now the only thing i believe is approved in the area was the royal farms but I need to get confirmation. We have different groups looking at the site but nothing is in stone yet.
A Trader Joe's in the California area would be nice.
