June 2025 Updates

June marks the joyful arrival of summer in full swing—a month where long days, warm nights, and vibrant colors come together in perfect harmony. It’s the season of sunshine, blooming gardens, and outdoor adventures. From the smell of backyard barbecues to the sound of laughter echoing from parks and beaches, June is the heartbeat of summer.

Lots of things on the horizon but for whatever reason its the same old thing.  Delays.  No one can ever say who's fault it is.  Sometimes its the government and sometimes its the tenants.  Its ridiculous how long its taking for stores to open and other projects to get going.  All we can do is wait.

Raw juice market and wellness lab has signed on at Merchants Square Shopping Center in White Plains. 4455 Crain Highway.   We were happy to have helped broker the deal.

Crunch Fitness Says they will be open at the end of August 2025.  Not only are they taking over the former AC Moore space but also the nail salon and spa space next to it for their spin classes.  Escape nails and spa will move to the other side of the center next to Three Brothers.

Bubbalou's BBQ and artesian sandwiches opened June 6th at 36 Dalrymple Road in Sunderland, MD

Sardi's Peruvian Chicken has been added to the tenant list at Fairway Village Shopping Center in St. Charles.  Sardi's has 15 locations across Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. 

Sprouts Farmers Market will open August 1st at the Shops at Waldorf Center.

ATI Physical Therapy now open at the Charles County Plaza.  3281 Plaza Drive in Waldorf.

May 2025 Updates

As spring hits its stride, May bursts onto the calendar with warmth, color, and a gentle sense of renewal. Nestled between the brisk beginnings of spring and the heat of summer, May is a month that invites us to slow down, soak in the sunshine, and reawaken our ambitions.

May feels like a deep breath after a long winter. With more daylight and warmer temperatures, our energy levels tend to rise. It’s an ideal time to revisit New Year’s goals, try something creative, or commit to healthier habits. Nature reminds us that growth takes time—but also that the right season can make all the difference.

Qdoba Mexican Eats will be coming to the Shops at Waldorf Center.  More details as we get them.

Boone's Bagels Marketplace coming this fall to 41654 Fenwick Street Leonardtown, MD.  They are now hiring.

World Class Billiard Room is now open at Berkley Square in Waldorf.  2720 Crain Highway.

Calcium Dental now open at Brandywine Crossing Shopping Center.  15805 Crain Highway.

April 2025 Updates

April showers bring may flowers!  Well not only rain but warmer weather and pollen of course.  We are breaking into the tolerable temperatures where I want to spend more time outside messing around in the garage or start planning my garden. I started cleaning out boxes of stuff and you realize how attached you get to little junk.  I don't need it but I don't just want to toss it in the trash either.  Maybe someone could use it. Should I sell it? Maybe a yard sale.  No I don't want to get up that early and deal with people bargaining over a dollar.  I do that enough at work.  Facebook marketplace?  Where people ask if its still available and then never answer you again.  Maybe just donate it and take a write off.  Now the box sits in your trunk for a month because you keep forgetting to take it.  Then I need to put something bigger in the car so I take the box out and put it back in the garage and there it sits.  Oh well I tried. Lets go to another box....

New Brandywine Crossing tenants coming soon. Burlington is taking over the former Joann Fabric space. Joyland is in 15814B next to Hanabi. BWWGO taking over the former Wing Heaven, Broken Egg Cafe will take over Pet Valu space. Saladworks whenever they finally open will take 15912C. 

Rosewick Crossing in La Plata is picking up a couple more tenants.  Southern Maryland Seafood Co. and Kamor Beauty Boutique.  

Dave's Hot Chicken will have its grand opening April 11th at 2477 Crain Highway in Waldorf, MD.  This will be their 5th location in Maryland.  Dave's started their business in 2017 in an East Hollywood parking lot.

Hyundai will have the grand opening of its new location in Lexington Park location April 12th at 22518 Three Notch Road.

Milk & Honey Southern Inspired Kitchen now open at Charles County Plaza.  3257 Plaza Drive.

March 2025 Updates

March! A time of renewal and growth, with flowers starting to bloom and temperatures warming. It's a month known for transitioning from the cold, snowy days of winter to milder, sunnier weather.  A time for Spring cleaning.  Not just clearing junk out of your house.  Its time to clean out your mind.  Time to shed your troubles.  Remove toxic people from your life.   Stop fighting with strangers online.  Stop fighting with family that chooses not to be part of your life.  We need to let these things go for our sanity.  Its seriously bad for your health.

Buffalo Wild Wings GO will be replacing the former Wing Heaven location at Brandywine Crossing Shopping Center.  15814 Crain Highway.  This will be a counter service quick pick up type location.

Chesapeake Potomac Regional Cancer Center is first tenant to signed on at Berry Pointe which is the newest business park on Berry Road (Route 228) in Waldorf.  This space will give them a much larger space to meet the needs of their patients.

Here is the current tenant list for Fairway Village Shopping Center in St. Charles, Waldorf.  More tenants are coming soon.  Construction has gone vertical so they should start delivering space to tenants in the summer.  After the tenants get permits and start their own construction we may see them open late this year.

Marco's Pizza is now open at Waldorf Park.  3722 Crain Highway, Unit 114

Mi Tierra Restaurant Grand Opening Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at 21591 Great Mills Road.

February 2025 Updates

February is finally here after what feels like the longest January ever.  Now we get to experience the shortest month and an end to winter.  Hope you get to celebrate valentines day with the ones you love.   I'm feeling good for the future.  Stay positive and keep moving forward!

The end of January was heartbreaking for some of our Southern Maryland families because of the terrible tragedy in Washington D.C.. Please keep them in your thoughts.

First Watch has announced an opening date of March 24 2025 for its new location at 3345 Crain Highway in the former Bob Evans space.  First Watch is a restaurant chain that serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The menu features made-to-order dishes made with fresh ingredients, including traditional and innovative options. First Watch also offers a juice bar with fresh-squeezed juices. First Watch has over 535 locations in 29 states.

Charleys Philly Steaks now open at the La Plata Village Shopping Center.  50 Drury Drive. 

Royal Farms will have the Grand Opening of their Lexington Park, MD location March 10th at 21779 Tulagi Place.  There will be soft openings on the 5th and 6th that you can get a ticket to on Eventbrite.

Chick-fil-A opens in Charlotte Hall February 27th at the Charlotte Hall Shopping Center.  29920 Three Notch Road.

Waldorf Station has announced their first tenants for the project: Starbucks, Honeygrow and Pollo Campero.  They should break ground in May of this year.  This project is located at the Charles County line and the entrance to Waldorf on Route 301 South near Sonic and McDonalds.  Honeygrow specializes in customizable stir-fry, salads and honeybar bowls.  They have over 40 locations along the east coast.  Pollo Campero specializes in Guatemalan chicken dishes and has over 400 stores worldwide.  The Starbucks will have a drive thru.
