Lidl Has Pulled Out of Brandywine Location

Lidl has dropped their contract for the Brandywine, MD location at Cadillac Crossing.  They have not given any reason why.  I believe they are trying to do too many locations at once.  We will see if they move forward with locations set in Waldorf and La Plata.

Possible over statistical analysis of Brandywine (301 housing developments)? or too many grocery choices in a small population area?

They are looking on the south end of La Plata.

Do they sell the carcasses of my deceased brethren for human nutritional value? If so, glad they are not coming. If not, this lamb loves to graze on fresh produce.

So does that mean the eyesore Cadillac Ranch will still remain?

The motel will still be taken down at some point when we are ready to develop that area.

Thank goodness because it is not at all reflective of what will be a new and improved Brandywine main corridor.

I would love to see a Wegman’s come to Brandywine and a stand alone Starbucks!
