Carolina Kitchen Brandywine Grand Opening

You have been waiting a loooong time for this one.  Carolina Kitchen in the Brandywine Crossing Shopping Center will have its grand opening January 25th 2017.

Hooray! Finally I get paid my commission on this deal that was signed in 2012!!  This is what commercial real estate agents have to deal with.

Thanks for the update. There was a time when I thought this day was never going to come.

Is a 24 hour fitness or gym coming to Brandywine?

They had a 'grand opening/VIP event' this past Friday.

Is there any information on the land across Brandywine crossing next to the neighborhood? Is this going to be commercial use?

Chris Shasho said...

No new fitness centers that I have heard are coming. The land in front of the housing community is zoned commercial but there has not been any tenant talk yet.

Any idea what is coming at the intersection of Route 5 and Brandywine Road

Do you know which supermarket?

Chris Shasho said...

A road at 5 and Brandywine.

I can't say what supermarket yet but NOT a Harris teeter or wegmans.

Ok we are down to Weis or Trader Joe's. Which will fit in a "small strip center".

Market will sit on its own site. Not inline.

The funny thing if people were to look on your guys website they would know which grocery store it is. Any idea when they plan to break ground?

Chris, Can you tell us more about the road project at 5 and Brandywine? I've tried doing a web search but I get a ridiculous number of suggestions that don't seem to have anything to do with what's going on.

I had heard Giant.

Chris Shasho said...

Nope, Giant was supposed to go on another site years ago but never went thru the process because they waited too long to get started and the other side of the road got developed.

Disappointed about the Harris Teeter and Wegmans. I guess we can kiss that little dream goodbye lol....I am guessing it may be another MOMS.

According to this website the grocery store will be a Lidl store. It's a German owned chain that is one of the largest in Europe and is expanding to the east coast. It's described as a cross between Kroger and Trader Joes. The website is http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/18262801/16101-Crain-Highway-Brandywine-MD/.

It is not a done deal yet. It shouldn't have been mentioned.

Hi Chris,
I'm soooo excited that I found this site! What's going on at the old Rip's restaurant and the Chaney building?

Chris Shasho said...

There is no plan yet but it will be retail and maybe some residential.

Chris, I have noticed construction activity on the back road of Brandywine Crossing behind the Carmax dealership that looks like they are extending the road north so is this another phase of this commercial development or what?

Chris Shasho said...

They will be extending the road all the way to Brandywine road to help with traffic and future residential and commercial. Currently there are no plans for more commercial.

Can you all build some nice apartments in Brandywine we don't have any closet ones are woods of Marlton and the new one right in Waldorf behind sams club. Brandywine is steady building luxury single family homes and town homes but no condos or apartments for those who are now grown looking to move out into their first apartment and then one of the single family homes. Y'all have to remember all of these projects and shopping centers we were growing and other children were aging and some of us want to stay in Brandywine.
