Aquatic Center Coming to Brandywine

This is a project that has been in the works for a while (2013) and since there was a groundbreaking late last year I'm going to go ahead and post about it.

The Prince Georges County Parks and Recreation is going to build a 77,000 square foot indoor aquatic and recreation center on a 65 acre parcel of land near the intersection of Brandywine Road and Missouri Avenue.  The project is scheduled to open late 2018.  You can read more about it here:

UPDATE 10/6/17: Ground is being cleared for the site.

This will definitely be something that is needed here in Southern Maryland. I hope we have more facilities like this coming to our area. We have plenty places to eat and buy things, we need MORE things for people TO DO:-)
