Any update on whether there's going to be a movie theater at Brandywine Crossing?

Chris Shasho said...

As soon as I find out the latest I will pass it on.

Can you comment on the Brandywine theatre situation yet? The Bow Tie Cinema website is no longer listing it as an upcoming project and their sign was removed from the site. Is someone else going in there?

I noticed this morning that the old hobby store on 301 next to Denny's was torn down. Is it being replaced with something else or was it just in bad shape like the Wigwam building?

I believe it will just be a new entrance to the shops at waldorf. We sold the building to the shopping center a while ago.

So no news on the brandywine theatre situation yet?

Chris Shasho said...

They have not made any comments yet to be released.

So I understand that you can't say anything about the brandywine theatre situation yet but can you comment on whether they are negotiating with another company or if the plans are being abandoned all together?

Chris Shasho said...

The plan is not being abandoned, I can say that.

Has the CarMax at Brandywine Crossing replace the Bow Tie Cinema?

Chris Shasho said...

Great Escape Theatres will be replacing the Bowtie and Carmax will be far to the left of it closer to the golf cart rental center. There will be a mix of retail and restaurants inbetween and in front of the theatre.

It's really refreshing to get updates about our growing community of Waldorf and Brandywine. Can you tell me the names of some of the big/major restaurants planned for those two areas? Is The Cheesecake Factory one of them?

Do you know when the carmax is planned to open?

Chris Shasho said...

I think by Christmas like the theater.

Are there plans to bring a Wegmans or Harris Teeter to Waldorf or LaPlata

Chris Shasho said...

Nothing in the near future. Check some of my newer posts that explain why in more detail.
