More new businesses coming to Waldorf

Two more businesses have signed up for the soon to be renovated Blair Center on Crain Highway in Waldorf.  Beauty 4 U superstore and Kids First swim schools combined with Mom's Organic will occupy over 25,000 square feet of renovated retail space.  Renovations will begin this summer and business will move in once the building has been complete.

Interesting, beauty suppy, nail places and barbers, which seem to be mom and pop places, seems we have a lot of those, we really need a place to have coffee that has a little character, something besides soulless starbucks

If a coffee shop would be interested we would be happy to lease to them. The beauty supply and swim school are chains as well as mom's.

Beauty 4 U is truly the gold standard in beauty supply stores in my humble opinion.

I am very excited about the swim school as well!

Exciting things are happening in Waldorf!

If only we could get that Cheesecake Factory or PF Changs *sigh*

I actually spoke to cheescake today due to another rumor floating around. We just don't have the population necessary within a 5 mile radius to support it. We need 250,000 people and we are at only at about 80,000.

People do like to travel for good food!

Beauty 4 U is a hideous looking business. The one located in Hilcrest Heights is atrocious. I hope we have stricter guidelines for the way our business look.

If the landlord sticks with the plan I saw the outside will be very nice. Not to many guidelines for a space interior except for everything having to be up to code.

Will the swim school have a pool in it? Or use one close by? I would love to see an outdoor or indoor pool with a toddler wading pool. Prince Fredrick's aquatic center is amazing. Would be great to have one like that close by.

The pool will be in the facility itself. Renovations on the building should start soon.

It would be nice to have a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's in Waldorf.

I'm trying, it's tough to get them down to look at the area.

Would they consider Accokeek for Trader Joe's or Whole Foods? I know of a great spot on the corner of Livingston Rd + MD-210 right across from B&J Carryout,
