March 2022 Updates

Happy March!  Warmer temperatures, flowers starting to bloom, St. Patty's Day!  Hope everyone is doing well and things are getting back to normal for you.  We should see a lot of stuff opening in the next few months.  Lots of construction in the area.  Hope we can find some new and interesting tenants.

 MOD Pizza is now open in Prince Frederick in the Fox Run Shopping Center.  

HomeGoods and T.J. Maxx will have their grand openings on March 17th at the Shops at Waldorf Center.

No word yet on any tenants that will take their spaces at Waldorf Marketplace.

Big Lots will open in Prince Frederick at the Fox Run shopping center on March 10th.

Rosewick Corner is under construction in La Plata on Rosewick Road.  Currently Aldi is the main tenant and Premier Health Express Urgent Care is also listed as a tenant.  There will be a gas station and a few other pad sites for retail or office users.  They have a plan to do a nice 193 unit apartment complex on the property as well.

It appears that 7-11 will be taking over the former Bob Evans location in front of Sam's Club in Waldorf.  The building will be removed and new construction will begin.  I assume the 7-11 in the strip center down the road will probably be moved to this space but I'm not positive.

February 2022 Updates

Sorry I had to get out of the area for a while and take a much needed vacation.  Things have not slowed down.  Looks like warmer weather is coming so there's that to be happy about.  Hope everyone is staying healthy.  Take some time out for yourself.  Remember you are worth it!  Be kind to each other.

Hunan Star III in La Plata has reopened after their kitchen fire.  Glad to see them back in business.

Photown will have its soft opening February 22nd at 746 North prince Frederick Blvd. in Prince Frederick.

K&K Adventure Park is a new family outdoor entertainment complex and plans to open its location March 31st.  They will be located at 90 Sherry Lane, Prince Frederick across from the Marriott Hotel.

The Greene Turtle will have a new location at the Brandywine Crossing Shopping Center in Brandywine, MD.  It looks as if they will be taking a section of the former Chevys location next to Bonefish. 

Crumbl Cookies has been added to the tenant list at Waldorf Park. It will join Starbucks, Jersey Mike's, and Aspen Dental in the front strip. Waldorf Park is located near the corner of 301 and Smallwood Drive. Chic-fil-A is already on site.

Lendmark Financial Services is taking the last available space at La Plata Plaza North next to Little Caesars Pizza.

Batteries and Bulbs has opened a new location in the Calvert Village Shopping Center in Prince Frederick.

The new North County Farmers Market will open April 9th at 29133 Thompson Corner Road in Mechanicsville. This will replace the Amish market that was located in the library parking lot.

January 2022 Updates

 Happy New Year!  Hope all this snow washed away all the bad mojo and we can start the new year with some positivity.  There's lots of opportunities out there right now.  Go out and make a change for the better.  Don't let anything hold you back.

Tommy's Car wash will be built on Route 301 next to Charles County Shopping Plaza.  It will take the place of the former shell station that had been vacant for some time.

Raising Cane's will be taking over the former Boston's Market location at the corner of Route 301 and Plaza Drive.  They are a fast food restaurant that specializes in chicken fingers that are always fresh not frozen.  They have over 600 locations.  This looks to be the first one in Maryland with more on the way in the D.C. area.

Quickway Japanese Hibachi is now open at the Shops at Waldorf Center next to the Mission BBQ.

Quickway is a quick service restaurant specializing in all day fresh ingredients, prepared in full view on an open grill in the Teppanyaki style.

December 2021 Updates

 Happy Holidays! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are prepping for the Christmas season.  The weather seems to be all over the place.  Freezing in the morning and 63 in the afternoon!  Everyone stay safe and I hope your holiday is fantastic.  If you have extra to give please help those less fortunate.  Just a little can make a big difference.

Chick-fil-A is back open in La Plata!  New double drive thru covered lines are really interesting.  

Family Dollar is opening a new location on 3280 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf.  No word on an opening date.

Lexington Exchange - So currently there is a lot of construction activity going on at the site as they prepare new pad sites and buildings for future tenants.  They have signed a few leases for government contractors that will take up around 30,000 sf of space located near the theater.  This is the plan they have for the property.

So just a recap of other things in the area we have Waldorf Park that has the Chick fil A that just opened plus they have signed Starbucks, Jersey mikes, Aspen dental, Nail Trix, The wine cellar and Naz's Halal.  Most have started their permit process so they should open sometime in the spring. 

Rosewick Crossing in La Plata still had Salsita's Grill and Il gusto Ristorante coming soon.  

Still nothing is solid for the Charlotte Hall area.  A few things going thru the process of approvals but nothing is a done deal.  We will be handling the leasing for a good portion of the area so we will know first.

Cedar Point Credit Union is now open in Waldorf on Weymouth Court across from Target.

November 2021 Updates

 Hope everyone got their fill of candy and are now ready for turkey!  Looking forward to cool weather, daylights savings, and gathering of friends and family.  I could do without the leaves falling.  That's a mess.  I'm thankful to have a job that I get to do different things every day and meet new people.  Continue to be kind to one another and do something nice for someone.  It could be the thing that changes their whole day for the better.

Dollar General has opened in Marbury MD at 4520 Bicknell Road.

Crumbl Cookies coming soon to the St. Mary's Marketplace in California, MD next Spring 2022

It will be located in the front strip between Mezeh and Hand and Stone.

IL Gusto Italian Ristorante coming soon to Rosewick Crossing in La Plata next to GameStop.
