New Medical in Waldorf

Patient First care has now opened its building on Crain highway South near American hardware.

Advanced Pain Management Services has opened their office in Old Line Center on Leonardtown Rd.

More food on the way to La Plata

Construction is underway on the Chick fil a in La Plata next to Texas roadhouse. With its current schedule it should be complete by late summer / early fall.

Approvals are complete for Taco Tell in La Plata next to Advanced auto.

Panera Bread looks like it will be building in La Plata Plaza in front of Petco. Details to come as we find out.

Courthouse is growing

The Charles County courthouse is well under construction in La Plata. The construction should last about 2 years.

The project entails the construction of a two-story building with a gross square footage of 75,600. The garage and basement support areas account for 28,950 square feet, while the finished basement, first floor, and second floor combined are 46,650 square feet.

The building will feature four District courtrooms (two on each floor), District Clerk, Court Commissioner, and Judges' Chambers (on the second floor), which accounts for 30,106 net square feet for State-operated services.

For the County, the building will house the Register of Wills and Land Records, both on the first floor, and will occupy 9,594 square feet. The County space is fully separated from the State's, and has its own entrance facing the existing glass lobby entrance of the existing building.

The building will also host a limited amount of underground parking for courthouse officials. The facility will be located in the area that currently serves as the courthouse's main parking lot. The exterior design of the building is fashioned after the Colonial Revival style of existing courthouses with all masonry construction, hipped shingled roofs, and a monumental lobby entrance. The interior of the building will feature a small, two-story lobby with two elevators and open stairs.

Snap Fitness Grand Opening

Snap Fitness had their ribbon cutting November 20th at the St. Patrick's Retail and office building. They have 24 hour access for their members in a secure environment. Membership has already exceeded their expectations. We wish them the best of luck and are glad to have helped them open their business.

Fast Food in Fast Growing La Plata

Three new fast food restaurants may be showing up in the near future in La Plata. The word around the office is that McDonalds, Chick Fil a, and Taco bell will make their presence known. We are not sure if the current McDonalds will stay or go but it wouldnt be the first time two McDonalds were located pretty close to each other.

International House of Pancakes has opened in the Rosewick Crossing Shopping Center in La Plata. More stores are coming soon.
