Oh September. The end of summer is here. So sad. Where did it go? Feels the kids just get out of school and now we are already back in. The cooler weather is starting to come in, then leaves will change soon. It's a time when people return from summer vacations and settle back into their regular schedules. I hope you got to do some fun stuff and spend time with family and friends.

I get asked about this a lot so just for clarification. You have a couple of projects on Western Parkway in Waldorf. One near the corners is a SMECO project to expand the power station. The other is the Waldorf Tech Park Apartments which are comprised of seven mid-rise, class A, elevator served, residential buildings, totaling 272 apartments. The project features two standalone clubhouses/fitness buildings, a pool, and multiple outdoor amenity areas.
Crunch Fitness coming soon to 3035 Waldorf Market Place in the former AC Moore space. It will be a 24 hour center. They plan to open in January 2025.
Berry Pointe is the new warehouse flex project on Berry Road where the turf farm is located currently.
Right now they are showing a forty-eight thousand and a fifty thousand square foot flex space that will start construction in the near future. These will look like office on the front side and have roll up doors on the rear of the spaces. They will have some pad sites for limited retail and professional uses. This is business park zoned so you can't do just any type of retail there. There are limitations. So far nothing is set in stone except for the warehouses.
Domoishi now open at the Esperanza Center in the former El Pollon chicken space. 22650 Three Notch Road A, Lexington Park. Domoishi specializes in Asian Fusion ramen, wings, poke bowls, and bubble teas. They have 33 stores in the US currently.
Tia's Cantina is now hiring at their new location 23415 Three Notch Road, Suite 2060. Located in front of the Wildewood Center. Planning to open in November of this year.
Marco's Pizza is showing a November 23rd opening date. Marco's is located at Waldorf Park behind Crumbl cookies. 3722 Crain Highway, Unit 114, Waldorf.
Fiesta Cancun Bar and Grill taking over the former Mariachis space. 3610 Crain Highway in Waldorf between Olive Garden and Hooters. We assume these are new tenants and not just a rename. Renovations have been done. No opening date given but they were hiring staff.
Hey Chris, is there any thing new coming to Accokeek MD? I noticed one of the real estate signs regarding the land for sale by the Manokeek shopping center is gone. Also there’s a couple of pad spots and stores open for lease so I’m curious if anyone been interested in the land or leasing spots. The Accokeek area could use some revamping and new stores

The county still has to finish western parkway and that is taking much longer then it should. As far as i know there are no tenants signed up yet for the shopping center. They are working on an office building and residential apartments currently.
DeleteHey Chris, any update on when the Kaiser Health facility will begin construction in Waldorf?
ReplyDeleteNo its still a mystery. We hope they start next year.
DeleteWhat is planned for the space under development next to the sod farm on Berry Road in Waldorf?
ReplyDeleteProbably another housing development
DeleteIt's a commercial park, thought that was obvious based off the signs that have been there for a decade or more.
DeleteHi Chris, just wanted to get some updates on the opening of Zagbys, Marcos pizza, Milk and Honey and the salad places that will be located in Brandywine New shopping center and the one that will be opening across the street. The names of them escapes me sorry. Oh and Sprouts.

Also when is the grand opening for Saladworks in Brandywine? Thanks
The saladworks opening date isn't showing anymore on their page so its up in the air right now. Sprouts is still working on their plans I think.
DeleteThanks. Plz keep us posted.
Deletehey Chris, what is going in on that plot of land on 925, across from buds liquor, I see that the lot is now fenced off, looks like something is about to start.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the land was assembled for a 300 unit residential project. I assume apartments.
DeleteChris I heard it through the grapevine that 84 Lumber is moving north up Three Notch Rd in Charlotte Hall and will be across from Mohawk Dr. on the 20 acres that have been for sale for at least 40 years or more. Any truth.

DeleteHello Chris. Would you know what is going in at the new construction site on westbound lane of Rosewick Road? Can you name names? LOL!
ReplyDeleteApartments... gotta keep shoe horning as many people into the area as possible.
DeleteYes apartments, no commercial going on yet. There has been some changes to the management of that part and we are kind of on hold.
DeleteAny info on Leonardtown on point lookout road. Seems some clearing happening between the PNC bank and the Sunoco gas/liquor
ReplyDeleteCheseldine car wash, sign was up forever.
DeleteInteresting. Especially since the previous Happy House Seafood near Food Lion in Leonardtown is supposed to tear down & go into a car wash I believe? But I guess since the Burchmart car wash got changed into a Dairy Queen there’s the demand in Leonardtown.
