The first two leases have been signed for the new 2875 Crain Highway Retail Center that was formerly American Hardware in Waldorf. Smoothie King and 9 Round Kickboxing will move in next year once renovations are complete. I have another great tenant in the lease process and will announce once its complete. We still have room for more tenants and end cap space is available.
I was checking 9 round on youTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MxhvPq4tZc
ReplyDeleteLooks really cool and very different from a conventional gym. Any idea when the will open?
After we finish the renovations so maybe early spring.
DeleteWhat's going on with Carolina Kitchen?
ReplyDeleteThey are supposed to be building out the space but they have not been communicating with the landlord.
DeleteHi Chris, will George's bbq keep their Indian head location as well?
ReplyDeleteYes they will stay in Indian Head.
ReplyDeleteChris, I hate to switch the topic but have you every considered getting a Copper Canyon Grill in Waldorf? There is plenty of space and old/abandoned buildings that they could remodel. The restaurant in Woodmore is very nice and appears to be successful. The food is good and they even have live jazz on the weekends. I think it would be very successful in Waldorf. I would love to know what you think. Thanks...
ReplyDeleteCopper Canyon looks very nice. They have 4 locations in densely populated areas. Counties that have populations around one million people. While our income is in the correct area I don't believe they would come any further down the road. I sent them a message just to see what they were looking for.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris! I hope they would be open to Waldorf.
DeleteChris I am a long time reader of this blog and think this is a great service you provide to southern Maryland. I live in Glen eagles and i am curious if you have any information on the proposed amendment for the downtown St Charles development on the corner of Billinglys rd and St Charles Hwy i.e the outdoor theater and Grocery store.
ReplyDeleteSt. Charles was given the ok to do some senior apartments on the opposite side of St. Charles Parkway. They were told by the commissioners that if they could obtain a higher end grocery store for that corner then they would give them the ok to do some of the apartments next to it. Basically in order to get the store you have to show a higher density of people in the area that would shop there. These stores are very picky and have all sorts of calculations they do to show if the store will survive. The apartments make it more attractive. They are speaking with a few stores but nothing has been signed. Thanks for the comment I appreciate the feedback.
ReplyDeleteIs this where the firehouse subs going to be located
ReplyDeleteYes it is.
DeleteNice post. This is really useful to us, try to share more information.
ReplyDeleteAny word on when anything will open?
ReplyDeleteI have updated on a later post. Late summer some stores should open.
