Krispy Kreme Coming to Waldorf

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will be opening a free standing location in the Pinefield South Shopping Center in Waldorf, MD. It will be on its on pad site in front of Lefty's. Updates on opening as we get them.

I'm also trying to get an update if one is still coming to St. Mary's.

3/20/17: They are going thru building approvals now for the Waldorf location.

6/2/17: Construction has started.

10/4/17: They should be open sometime in mid October 2017

UPDATE: 10/10/17: Grand Opening is October 24th

  1. That means it is not inline with other stores. It stands alone like a McDonald's on a separate site.

  6. If its Pinefield South, its the same shopping center that Leftys BBQ is located in. There's a vacant spot where Waku Chicken was located, wouldn't surprise me if it is going in there.

The folks running the Duncan Donuts across the street can't be thrilled at having another donut shop opening so close, but that's how it goes.

    1. That's ok. Dunkin Donuts isn't all that good anyway and too expensive. Donut Connection is where it's at!

  14. I can't tell you how long I been waiting for this! I was mortified to hear they built one in Capitol Heights instead of here in Charles County, no offense but Charles County is much more of an desirable area so we should have the goodies first! I don't think DD will be affected because I think most people go there for the food (breakfast) and coffee instead of their doughnuts. I actually forget they sell doughnuts! But on the downside this will make my diet even more of a struggle since they built the Sonic in Laplata and now this! Pray for me people!!!!

  15. Hi Chris,

I notice in Waldorf on 301 South where RIPS restaurant and hotel was along with a gas station that recently closed, demolition of those two sites are starting. Do you know what the development plans are for that location?

Also, on 301 South across from the Kia Dealership, the old Shell station building is being demolished too. Do you know what the plans are for that location?

And..what is going in Brandywine at the Cadillac Motel? Are they developing that too?

A large portion of land was bought that includes the motel, chaney building and a few other properties. It will be redeveloped into new retail and maybe some residential.

I do not know if there is a tenant yet for the old gas station.

There will be a new supermarket, best western and some other retail at the Cadillac motel site.

  17. Joy! As a local Realtor, this is good news. Thanks.

  18. Do you guys know why tenants haven't move on the old lonestar in the st. Charles mall parking lot ?

    1. It needs a ton of work on the inside. Around $700,000 worth. Vandals got in there a few years ago and stole all the copper.

  19. Anyone heard if a Harris Teeter or Wegmans is interested in a Charles County location? Rumors have said one or both were interested -- that was about 6 months ago. ???

  20. KK is not taking over Chicken Rico. It will be on its own pad site.

    No wegmans for Charles County.

    1. I am so disappointed to hear no wegmans..I live in Charles County and travel to the wegmans in landover. Could you please tell me why we aren't getting one? Thank you

  21. Theres one coming to Lexington Park also

  22. I just had lunch with the Shopping center manager yesterday and he pointed to the site in his parking lot where KK was going to go. They bought the site from him.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wegmans is not coming because we do not have enough people to support it during lunchtime. They have hot bars, etc. that is a big business for them, and our lunch crowd is too small because we have so many people that leave the area for work.

  24. Could you please update if you find out about the potential St Marys location?

  25. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong location. Is not a Dunkin Donuts already there?

  26. Dunkin is on other side of the road.

  27. What's the news on a KK coming to St. Mary's?? I hope this happens. I drive to Fredericksburg which is a hike if I have the taste for fresh KK. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

  30. With all the new establishments coming into Southern Maryland how about while lobbying for these newcomers we put together BETTER sites for them to operate. We as customers of these business we would like to see better layouts etc.....Skyzone - great place bad location, parking is atrocious, KK - great place bad location too small AGAIN foreseen parking issues. Just saying for future family establishments please plan for the usages.......Chuckie Cheese got a great location but just think those kids grow up then where do they go when everything is so crowded you can get in?

  34. It vanished. They still want to be down there but have made no movement that I have heard.
