Happy March! Spring is quickly approaching. Sunshine, easter, daylight saving time, and warmth are on the way. We have had a mild winter so it hasn't been that bad but I would rather have non jacket weather.
Still no movement in the Waldorf Crumbl cookies space. They say they are having issues getting equipment.

I searched the past year for a hint as to what is happening at McDaniel Road and Middletown Road adjacent the water tower. Alas I could not find anything.
ReplyDeleteCan you let us know what is being built there?
There’s a housing development approved for that area. It could be that. Townhomes and detached homes
DeleteYes Residential.
ReplyDeleteAny updates on the halal location near the new Pilates studio in waldorf?
ReplyDeleteI was at both meetings for this and added my comments about both those places coming to Charlotte Hall. Mr Rosemore was more then willing to make changes when asked about different things that the planning board brought up at the first meeting. He is spending alot of his own money to make all the traffic improvements to include the new traffic light that will be installed. This new light will help with some of the problems at the Golden Beach intersection. I actually was sitting next to him and his son, nice people. This new development will give CH a fresh new look and clean up the eyesore of the Farmers Market area.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte Hall will become nothing but traffic lights making an already conjested area even worse.
ReplyDeleteAny news on Raising Canes opening date? The traffic situation is awful.
ReplyDeleteWill there ever be any development on the land located at the corner of 228 and Western Pkwy, behind that small electrical facility across from WaWa? I’ve seen a Shasho sign there forever.
ReplyDeleteAlso will there be any development right across from the Hamilton Park neighborhood on Western Pkwy?
Im glad you got to speak with the owner. New development is a big undertaking.
ReplyDeleteBecause you dont have public water and sewer you wont see the same amount of development as waldorf.
Raising canes says early May. We will see. Nothing has been on time lately.
Over by western parkway Some land was bought by the electric co being the current station. There is still land available for purchase.
Is there going to be any more development at the Technology Place site near silver diner and cvs? I heard Panera was going to out a stand-alone store there at one point.
ReplyDeletePanera will move over to the parking area next to silver diner in the future so they can be freestanding.
ReplyDeleteThere are contracts pending on most of what's left over there. The shopping center also has two strips of land for retail expansion but I don't see that coming any time soon.
Hey yo, a Bojangles in Newburg would be dope. Hope someone can make it happen.
ReplyDeleteNot Happening!!
ReplyDeleteHow come there are so many car wash establishments popping up in and around Waldorf?
ReplyDeleteExcatly!! Why?! Ugh!
DeleteChuck County is GRIMEY.
ReplyDeleteNeed to clean Charles County up!!!
ReplyDeleteChris, I noticed they have fenced and started clearing the land next to CarMax on the north side by the Golf Cart dealer, do you know what is being built?
ReplyDeleteChris, I see that on the north side of CarMax in Brandywine a contractor has fenced and started clearing the empty lot, do you know what is being built?
ReplyDeleteYou wont see much retail down in newburg. Just dont have the population for anything big.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what created the car wash craze. Maybe they all went to some franchise seminar?
Clean up in what way? Property owners taking more pride in their buildings? People not being such pigs and throwing their trash away properly?
We sold an acre to the Haven dispensary to build their own building. they will move from the other side of the highway. They are currently leasing.
Just a little bit of levity Chris.
ReplyDeleteI see finally work is being done to tear down old motel in Charlotte Hall to make room for Chipotle.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like there could possibly be some asbestos abatement happening at the motel.
DeleteI'm sure they're abating more than asbestos from that mess.
DeleteThe old Charlotte Hall McKays now has the new Shoppers Food Warehouse sign up. Still not open. Any ideas how soon the grand opening will be?
ReplyDeleteYes there is.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of getting a Home Skillet's around the 'Dorf?
ReplyDeleteHomie got Skillet's.
DeleteI saw the Shoppers sign, looks to be a temporary sign, also the name McKay's Plaza is gone and renamed North Side Plaza, think thats what I saw. Chris dont let that guy on another forum get under your skin. Guess he wants to keep everything cornfields and farm land.
ReplyDeleteI thought the shoppers were trying for June opening. Things are always changing.
ReplyDeleteYes I was assuming that there would be some nasty stuff in that hotel that would need to be removed. Its been around for a long time.
Where are home skillets located? If they aren't close its a stretch to get one here.
Thanks for all your comments. I try not to let the negativity get to me. Especially when its things I have no control of.
What's wrong with cornfields and farmland? Why does every piece of land have to have something built on it.
ReplyDeleteAgreed
DeleteThe reason the cornfields and farm land is going away is because of population growth. Families are looking to move out to the country and get away from the busy DC areas due to higher rents and home prices.
ReplyDeleteMy mistake, from a previous post old McKays's Plaza is now North Gate Plaza.
ReplyDeleteWhats going on in that yellow bldg on Washington Ave., LaPlata? New tenants/owners identified?
ReplyDeleteChick Fil A is coming to Charlotte Hall!!!!! Aldi is a nice have also but I do love the Food Lion.
ReplyDeleteHey Chris, what is going in the previous Modells Sporting Good spot? I saw some workmen going in and out today.
ReplyDeleteDSW is moving to modells spot. Just posted.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow building is going to be a new treatment center for all types of mental health, eating disorders, drug rehab, etc. They are adding on to the building. I was waiting for them to open.
