Organic Grocer Coming to Waldorf

Mom's Organic Market has signed a lease for space in the soon to be renovated Blair Center which is located behind the Longhorn Steakhouse on Plaza Drive and Crain Highway.  It is scheduled to open in 2012 after the current buildings renovations have been completed.  More details as they become available.  Mom's is a Maryland based company started in 1987.  They have 6 stores currently in Maryland and Virginia with plans for more in the near future.

UPDATE 8/14/12:  Store will open early fall 2012

UPDATE 11/5/12 Grand opening set for November 9th, 10th & 11th 2012

    I am very happy that Moms is comming to Waldorf. No more traveling to Bowie or Greenbelt.

    It would be nice to see a Whole Foods or a Wegmans come to the area.

    Whole foods has been a pain to get down here but we have made contact with Wegmans. It will still be a while if they do decide to come to the area.

    Wegmans! YES! People travel great distances to go there. I would also like to see a Trader Joe's.

    Trader joe's has still not put charles county on its list of potential sites. Population does not support it according to them. Thanks for posting.

    I think the community will welcome an organic market with open arms. Hopefully it will bring other organic markets to the area that have been apprehensive to come down here. Thanks for your comment.
