Hey everyone! Wishing you the happiest of holidays and a wonderful new year. I hope you get to have big get togethers and spend time with the ones you love. If you can't as a group at least try to spend time with them individually. Its a time where some people are the most happy and some are the most lonely. Check in on your friends. Remind them that you care about them even if you aren't in contact as much as you want to be. If you have been out of touch because of some dumb argument you had years ago its time to squash it and say "hey just wanted you to know that I still care about you and I love you." It does not take much. And if they don't respond at least you tried. Its important to communicate. Because if people don't know how you feel you cant fix a problem.

I've been watching so many groups posting about all the things they want to have in the area. I wish it was as easy as people make it out to be. "Just build it and they will come" "You aren't doing your job, bring us what we want" Yeah unfortunately that's not how it works. Companies are not spending millions of dollars to build or sign long term leases and hope customers show up. They do research and study the areas for a while before deciding. They look at the future of the area. They see if the area is growing or not. They look at things like workforce, education and household income. If they are not happy with those numbers they aren't coming. Seems like most people do not want any more growth in the area. And now that you are here you don't want anyone else here. So without growth there will not be the big names you want. I'm not a fan of traffic either. I don't like driving out of the county to find the things I want. But like I've said in the past, You cant have your cheesecake factory and country too.
