November is a transitional month, often marked by the deepening chill of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. Trees stand bare against the gray skies, and a sense of quiet settles in as nature prepares for winter. In many cultures, November is a time for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance, often highlighted by holidays like Thanksgiving. I've always been a fan of Thanksgiving because its one of the main times you get all the family together. Unfortunately over the years our family gatherings get smaller as kids grow up and move, or have to share time with their in-laws, or our elders pass away and we lose that glue that holds us all together. It really sucks. So please get your family together as much as you can. Share special times, tell stories and make memories.
And since its election time please go vote.

Thank you for the Linus quote and all you do to keep us informed! Is there an update on the Kaiser Permanente medical campus. Construction was supposed to be near 301 and Billingsley and the projected completion of phase one was supposed to be sometime during 2025. Thank you for any update you arr able to provide.
ReplyDeleteConstruction on first phase should start sometime in 2025 and they want to be open in 2026
DeleteThanks Chris! I’ve been following this blog since college in 2014. After earning my second degree in 2018, I finally got the courage to move a thousand miles from Florida to Maryland. Now, eight years later, my family and I are settled here, and it’s the only place our kids know. Thanks for everything you do, this blog is our main source for what’s current in Southern Maryland.

DeleteRumor mill says a gym and office space is going in at old Shoppers Charlotte Hall. Any truth in that?
DeleteThank you I appreciate it. I'm happy to keep you updated!
DeleteI heard a gym was looking at it but I dont know if they signed.
DeleteI see fencing around the old capital one building next to 7 -11 in waldorf marketplace. Are they still putting Zaxby’s there or has that plan changed?
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know Zaxby's is still coming. Good to see some progress.
DeletePraise the Lord! Another chicken place, Hallelujah!
DeleteAnybody know when dem new Section 8 junks down close to LA Plata be opening? I want to move my fams down there.
ReplyDeleteWhat’s sad is you probably call yourself a Christian. You should read Matthew 7:15-23 then read Galatians 5. I can only go by your fruit and comments like this don’t represent Christ. Maybe you’re happy on the wide road that leads to destruction. Hell’s pretty hot, you might want to change direction before it’s too late.
DeleteWho are you talking to?
DeleteMoron who clearly doesn’t understand the dire need for workforce housing.
DeleteThe reference to section 8 housing is clearly a stereotyping caricature style comment that's not helpful in this forum and/or someone who's seriously lacking, with all the bad grammar. Chris these types of comments need to be moderated or removed.
