January 2024 Updates

Happy New Year! January embodies a sense of new beginnings, offering the opportunity for personal growth, fresh starts, and hopeful outlooks. Its a time to declutter physically and mentally. It sets the tone for the rest of the year and encourages people to embrace change and embark on new adventures. I hope that one resolution that people make is to just be nicer to each other. It not only helps you but makes others happier as well. One small gesture of kindness can go along way.

Coco Bay Kitchen and Tea house is now open in Waldorf Shoppers World. 3280 Crain Highway, Waldorf.

  2. Hello, this is Hamad. Is there any current interest to your company about land acquisition to construct a Mosque in the Waldorf area? Our people are severely underserved, and I was just curious.

May Allah bless you and your family with joy, and may your business continue to prosper kind sir!

  5. The approval for Sheetz in Charlotte Hall been pushed back till March 4th. The Planning folks asked about some changes for the roadways. The State Highway usually takes about 45 days for them to get back with a yes or no.

  6. Truthfully, there isn't enough that can be done with changing the roadways in charlotte hall. People drive like idiots and there's not enough changing of roadways that can fix that problem. There's at least one accident every week in the area, if not more. You need speed bumps every 50 feet to slow people down.

  7. I know this guy named Jimmy, his last name rhymes with Deck... He has a great paying job with very good benefits. Jimmy sits around and does nothing all day which really irritates me... Don't be like Jimmy.

  8. Chris/All is it true that they're building yet another beauty supply store that we don't need in Waldorf, in the old Bed Bath & Beyond store location on Crain highway?

  9. Happy New Year Chris, I was wondering who I would speak with about all the planned developments in the PG County around Clinton to Brandywine? I looked on the PG County website but found nothing. On FB there is a Brandywine website that sometimes will update everyone of projected new developments and they even provided a map showing 17 developments planned but no descriptions of what they are such as commercial, multi family or single family developments. I am seeing lots of public notice signs going up and it concerns me that our major highways currently can not support all this growth such as Rt 5 and 301, so I a citizen of Charles county I want to attend some of the public meetings and then share with others on Blogs like yours. You have done a wonderful job keeping us updated on the commercial side so please continue sharing.

    1. I can’t wait until they tear that dust bowl down. It’s such an eye sore
and brings no value but traffic to the local community. There is nothing but junk there. Bring on modern development and do away with this 50s era market.
