The Shops at Waldorf Updates

Just a few things that are happening at the Shops at Waldorf Center.  Sweet Thing Black Orchid Bakery and Five Below will be joining the center.  Five below will be located next to Bob's Furniture and The Bakery will be next to Cafe Rio.  Construction is underway.

UPDATE: MAY 10 2013 - Five Below is now open

  1. So Five Below is moving? Interesting! Hopefully if the Shops at Waldorf fills up the majority of their spaces it will encourage them to finally finish that partial renovation they started. It looks weird every time I go past there because parts of their shopping center look redone while the majority don't.

  5. Whole foods has been here but they aren't happy with the demographics just yet. They would also have to do multiple stores and need another distribution center. They just aren't ready yet.

  7. Im asked this every month it seems. Unless we triple our population in charles county they won't even look to come to the area. We have to have a bigger lunch crowd or they can not survive.

  8. While we are asking, have you heard anything about a Wegman's in our area? That would be wonderful!

  9. They have looked but are waiting to see how the Lanham store does. They want stronger daytime population as well. Maybe a few more years until they decide.

You may want to check with Royal Farms again. I sent them an email last week after visiting their Crofton location and requested they consider Charles County and they said all the good corners were taken. When I said they might want to reconsider due to the new housing and high school being built near Blue Crabs Stadium a Mr. Jeff Bainbridge from Royal Farms responded back that they will now take another look. Hopefully you can get them to look at your available sites and bring a new business entity to the county:)

  13. Royal Farms? Not fair to those of us who'd like to see a Sheetz, which I think is better.
