Charlotte Hall Station

The new Charlotte Hall Station has broke ground and are working on leasing space.  McKay's Grocery store will anchor the 100,000 square foot center.  There will be pad sites available for freestanding tenants as well as inline stores.  Details to come.




UPDATE 9-3-2015  No word on when the project may start up again.  Perhaps when some leases get signed.

    Still no idea as to the other businesses that will be in the new Charlotte Hall McKays shopping center?

    Nothing i can say yet. Until all the paperwork is complete I dont want to put anything out there. I will update as things progress.

    We have five proposals still out for possible tenants. It's just taken longer to get them signed due to the holidays.

    It's a larget spot to fill. We are trying to get another anchor tenant or gym to take the space. We may have to break it into smaller pieces.

    Do you know what happened to the progress of the new Charlotte Hall McKays shopping center? They did alot of site worked and then things just seemed to stop.

    Well thanks to the state highway things had to be reconfigured, buildings changed and moved, TDRs had to be purchased and then approvals again. Land development is not easy. Would anyone like to pick up the bill for all the changes? It would make your head spin. I have had builders tell me a building would be complete july of one year and it didnt get complete till july of the following year.

    Still says he's going in the new center. Just spent a lot of money making changes to the plan so I don't believe that to be true.

    Its still being advertised for lease but I have seen no movement. We are not handling it anymore.

    I heard mckays is getting ready to build the new charlotte hall store. I also heard giant is gonna build a store near the food lion in charlotte hall. Do you know if there's any truth to that?

    We have no information on a start date. They have been doing minor work to keep the permit valid.
