Waldorf West Library

The Waldorf West Charles County Library is now 25% complete.  It is located in the O'Donnell Park behind the St. Charles Mall.  The Waldorf West Library will be a state-of-the-art community learning facility, which will integrate modern technology to serve the needs of a diverse community, now and well into the future. The library is currently being designed to be certified as a green building through the US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) third-party certification program. The design of the facility is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2010 and construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2012. The building itself will be a learning tool to teach users about the various elements that make it a green building.

Cracker Barrel Waldorf and Dairy Queen La Plata Now Open

Cracker Barrel and Dairy Queen opened to great crowds and excellent weather on Monday and comments on the food and staff have been good so far for both.  I had the chance to visit the DQ and the burgers and fresh toppings reminded me a little of the old Roy Rogers.  If you think so let me know or perhaps i'm just being nostalgic.

Dairy Queen La Plata Official Opening Date!

It has now been posted at Dairy Queen in La Plata that they will open for business on April 4th.  Hiring signs were back out so apply at the store!

I went past the La Plata Dairy Queen tonight and they have papers on the doors saying accepting applications March 17th from 9:30 - 6:00

Chevys Opening in Brandywine

La Plata Dairy Queen set to open and now hiring

The La Plata Dairy Queen Grill & Chill at 22 Shining Willow Way will open somewhere mid to late march according to a representative.  A Now Hiring sign has been posted at the building so you should inquire at the location.  Thanks to one of our blog watchers for spotting the sign for us.

Cracker Barrel Waldorf Opens April 4th

Cracker Barrel is set to open April 4th at its Waldorf location 3742 Crain highway next to the Hampton Inn and Carrabba's restaurant.  The building is over 10,000 square feet and will employ about 150 people.  The area will now be referred to as Waldorf Park according to the new signage that went up today.  Thanks to one of my blog followers for the opening date information.  Now Hiring signs are on the building to apply at the site 9am-5pm Mon thru Fri. or Sat 10am-2pm  You can also call the store (301) 638-2570
