New Tenants for St. Mary's Marketplace

Klein Enterprises has let me know that they have just signed some tasty new tenants to the St. Mary's Marketplace.  Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Cold Stone Creamery will be located in one of the out parcel buildings next to Panda Express.  Cold Stone is Co-Branding their space with the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory which adds chocolates, confections and candy apples to their stores.  Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has locations world wide.  This will be their first store in Southern Maryland.  More tenants are working for St. Mary's Marketplace.  Stay tuned!

Casey Jones Restaurant Closing

Casey Jones Restaurant in a La Plata, which has been a landmark in the area since 1980, will be closing August 4th.

A D.C. restaurant group called EatWell DC will be opening a new restaurant in the location called The Charles-Farm Table & Public House.  EatWell has a farm close by which is one of the reasons it chose the area. This will be EatWell's  sixth restaurant and the first in Maryland.  Some of their other restaurants include The Pig and The Bird which will have some of its dishes featured at the new location.  Look for it to open October 1st of this year.  The address is 417 Charles Street, La Plata, MD.

A Few More Updates

Just a couple of updates on things happening in the area. 

We have sold the former Lonestar restaurant to a group that is planning a middle eastern restaurant.  They should start the remodel immediately.

The Raley's Furniture buildings in Waldorf and Lexington Park were sold and are being renovated.  They are now owned by Regency Furniture but will keep the Raley's name.

Five Guys Burgers in La Plata will be moving in the future to a new freestanding building next to Panera Bread.

Coldstone Creamery is still going thru permits in La Plata from what I'm told.  Its taking forever!
