The Landing at Woodyard

In Clinton they have revamped the former shopping center at the corner of Woodyard Rd. and Branch Ave.  I just got a list of the tenants they have signed.  Forgive me if some of these area already existing, I don't have anything to do with this center so I'm not up to date on what's there currently.
Panera Bread, Firehouse Subs, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Chick fil A, Marco's Pizza, Quickfire Japanese Hibachi.

Hope that makes the Clinton fans happy.  The center looks much better after the remodel.  Hope all the tenants have great success.  Updates as I see them.

A Group of Updates

Time for updates.  Some new small businesses opening up in the area and a few other items.  Since everyone likes the group updates better than individual ones I will keep doing it this way unless its a major tenant.

- Starbucks has been added to the tenant list at the Shoppes at Apple Greene in Dunkirk.


- There are a few used car lots coming to White Plains.  Lux Auto is taking over the GRD cycle location at Demarr Road and Crain Hwy who has moved down to the Atlantic Cycle and Power building.  National Auto is taking over the former construction rental place next to Sunbelt rental on Crain Hwy.

- Little Fish Seafood is coming soon to St. Patrick's Centre 173 St Patrick's drive in Waldorf.  No opening date yet.

- Metropolitan Security and Surveillance is open at 2477 Crain Highway in Waldorf in the Holly Tree Center near Popeye's.

- Indulging Hands Therapy coming soon to Tower Plaza Shopping Center in White Plains.  10583 Middleport Lane next to Mexico Restaurant.

- Southern Tire is building a new store and relocating to 131 St. Patrick's Drive near Goodyear.  It just broke ground recently so it will take some time.

Lidl Grocery Coming to Waldorf

Lidl has just purchased a 9 acre parcel for a new grocery store in Waldorf.  The Property is located at the corner of Smallwood Drive and St. Patrick's Drive across the street from the County Library.  The project is in its planning stage so there is no opening date.  

Lidl is a German discount supermarket based in Neckarsulm, Germany.  It operates over 10,000 stores across Europe and approximately 52 so far in the United States.  It is very similar to an Aldi Market and it's their biggest competitor.  More details as the project progresses.

Harbor Freight Tools Coming to Waldorf

Harbor Freight Tools will be taking approximately 16,000 sf of retail space at the Waldorf Shoppers World.  The space will  be located in part of the current Burlington Coat Factory.  Construction will begin once Burlington has moved to its new location in the former Sports Authority space. Burlington should move in October of this year.  Harbor Freight is a large discount tool and equipment retailer and has over 800 locations across the united states as well as a large mail order business.

UPDATE:  Grand opening is scheduled for May 15, 2019

A Few Updates

Burlington will be moving its store over to the old Sports Authority space in Waldorf Shoppers World.  The new space fits their new store model so they will be very happy there.  The old space will be split up to make it easier to lease.  I know of one tenant that is in the process of signing a lease so that will be announced shortly.  UPDATE: now open in new space.

Sweet Frog has opened in their new location in La Plata at Rosewick Crossing Shopping Center.

Once Upon a Child has opened in the Waldorf Marketplace next to Fosters Grill.

B Donuts will be opening their first location in Southern Maryland in the new Baldus retail building in La Plata by Burger King.

Chesapeake Apothecary has opened in White Plains in the former Pottery Building next to the Moose Lodge.

Super Beauty has opened in the Waldorf Marketplace in the former furniture space.

TJ's Soul Food Kitchen

TJ's Soul food kitchen is now open in White Plains at the Merchants Square Shopping Center next to Mexico Restaurant.

Huntington Learning Center and Domino's Pizza will be opening in the small retail building in front of the Wildewood Shopping Center in St. Marys.

The Shops at Piney Church Coming Soon

UPDATED 8-23-19

The Shops at Piney Church will be a new strip center at the corner of Billingsley Road and Piney Church Road in St. Charles across the street from the Blue Crabs Sign.  There will be a 7-11 with gas station, two different hair salons, nail salon and a Ledo's Pizza.  Tenants are starting their interior fit outs now.

Nammo Relocates to Charles County

We are pleased to announce that Shasho Consulting has secured a new location for Nammo moving their local headquarters and manufacturing operation from Virginia to Indian Head, MD.  Nammo short for Nordic Ammunition Company, will take up temporary space in Waldorf while their new building is completed in Indian Head.  They recently established a 30 year public private partnership with Naval Surface Warfare Center for energetic products and will be making a significant capital investment in new facilities, equipment and human resources in Indian Head.

The Town of Indian Head has given preliminary approval of the building rendering.
